Job Description

This new position is an exciting oopportunity to join a vibrant Retail and Operational team, delivering projects to a national bus and motorcoach company.  Projects range from digital, maintenance to legal and administrative tasks.  The successful candidate needs to be able to communciate well at all levels of the business.

The Junior Project Manager’s central duty is to assist the Senior Project Manager. Often, they’re assisting with the tasks outlined below, but they may also be asked to perform additional tasks which include supporting the Megabus Retail Team in administrative or analytical tasks. Daily tasks also include clerical duties, maintain contact with vendors and company personnel through email and phone calls, answer questions and concerns and enter project data.  Responsible for all details of a project/task assigned to his/her supervision.  The candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a high volume/deadline oriented environment.  Must coordinate people and processes to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. The position is responsible for multi- state operations.  Training of our company systems and programs will be provided.
Create Project Plans
Junior Project Managers develop concrete, detailed plans for a project, including the schedule, outlining the duties of each team members, identifying project goals, and setting a timeline for the project. They collaborate with various teams and hold meetings to develop project plans and present them to upper-level management before starting the project.
Monitor Project Progress
It is important that the Junior Project Manager closely monitors each project he or she manages to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under budget, and develop according to plan. They’re responsible not only for identifying project objectives, but ensuring that they’re met.
Report Project Results
Once a project is complete, the Junior Project Manager, in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, is responsible for gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting or presenting them to the appropriate parties. This usually includes clients and upper-level management. They should report on the success of the project and any setbacks that were encountered or room for improvement.
Junior Project Manager Skills
Junior Project Managers should be detail-oriented multi-taskers. They have great communication skills and are able to easily adapt to changing circumstances. In addition to these traits, candidates should have the following skills
